A year ago, I was looking for a job in the United Kingdom in the specialty of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. It happened that I came across Xander Hendrix Healthcare agency represented by Mr Ricky Layal who was in charge of my application. When Ricky first contacted me, I did not take the matter seriously. Then, he phoned me and spent enough time to know the relevant details of mine, in a very friendly way that strongly impressed me. He kept looking for jobs for me and kept phoning me to discuss these opportunities. In less than a month, Ricky managed to arrange for me a Skype Interview for a suitable job. I am grateful to Ricky Layal for making my dream come true. Though I had an opportunity to pursue a job in an NHS in 2009 after my Membership exam, I had to go back to India due to family commitments. I was grounded with various responsibilities and had forgotten about my ambition to do a fellowship in a gynae subspeciality. I met my friends Jayeeta & Manoj in August 2015 in a scientific meeting at Cochin, India. Jayeeta was leaving shortly to join an NHS in UK and asked me if I was interested. I said yes and then everything started to fall in place. Ricky called me sometime in November 2015 and after a brief chat advised me to send my CV & to take up IETS, which I did in January 2016. Ricky promptly called me after the exam to find out my result and I was able to sense the genuine happiness in his voice on my success. Ricky with his team arranged an interview with the western Health & Social Care trust, NI in March & the offer letter came in the first week of May. Then started the tedious process of GMC registration. As it was more than 3 years after my membership exam, I was anxious, if PLAB would be mandatory. Ricky gave me the information through his contacts that it was not needed. It took roughly 4-5 months to get my GMC call for interview. By November 2016, I was in UK with a new job. My first encounter with Mr. Ricky Layal was on June 2017; I was applying at that time for jobs as Nephrology Registrar in Ireland. I got then an email followed by phone conversation from Mr. Layal saying that he came across my CV and would like to help me finding a job in Northern Ireland, as by that time I was not yet registered with the GMC, UK, I told him that I am not eligible for that. He successfully persuaded me to apply assuring me that if my interview was successful, he would support and guide me through the whole process of registration with GMC till the travel from my home land, Egypt to my new work place in Northern Ireland. He was true to his wards; indeed, the letter of acceptance was forwarded to me by Mr. Layal who professionally guided, supported and followed me during the whole lengthy process of applying for the GMC registration, travelling for identity check with the GMC, getting the necessary documents for working visa in the UK and even flight arrangements, transportation and accommodation in my new work place. I had a difficulty getting the needed score in IELTS exam for the GMC registration; Mr. Layal supported me even in this. I have to say that, Mr. Layal really went the extra mile in helping me getting my dream job. I owe a lot for his professionalism, advice, kindness and invaluable support.
